In development
Who's who, and what things cost — a self-building map of the Balkans production world. It opens at directory.dotshock.ai; the notify list opens now.
The outcome .directory.shock delivers.
Every production question in the region starts the same way — who does this, and what should it cost? The answer today lives in private phone contacts and half-remembered day rates. .directory.shock turns that into a public, structured map: crews, studios, stylists, fixers, gear, locations and the price ranges each command — built from real bookings rather than guesswork.
It draws its market and pricing intelligence from the puls and intel platforms — the same engines built on 21 years and millions of data points — so a range shown here is grounded in observed signal, not a number someone typed once.
- A free, public tier. The core map — who's who and indicative price ranges — is free to browse. No wall in front of the thing that makes it useful.
- Self-building price intelligence. Ranges tighten as real bookings and quotes flow through the studio, with a "last verified" date on every figure so you know how fresh it is.
- Powered by puls + intel. Market and sentiment signal from the intelligence platforms feeds the estimates — the moat is the data, and it is stated out loud.
- The engine of the ops service. The same directory is what we use to staff, price and run a production for a client coming from abroad — free map, paid delivery.
- Wired to the studio's .crm.shock. A contact you book becomes a client record without re-typing anything.
- Indicative, dated, and honest. Prices are labelled as ranges with a verification date — never presented as a firm quote for a third party.
Built for the people who move a production.
For producers and photographers staffing a shoot in the Balkans, and for brands and agencies from abroad who need to know a fair rate before they commit. If you have ever burned a day chasing a stylist's number or arguing about a day rate with no reference point, this is the map that gives you one.
What it will not do.
It will not publish a person against their will. Every listed party can claim, correct or remove their entry. Listing named businesses with pricing is a real responsibility, and the removal path is built in, not bolted on.
It will not quote a firm price for someone else. Figures are indicative ranges with a "last verified" date. A booking is always agreed directly with the party — the directory points you at them; it does not speak for them.
It will not invent a range it cannot evidence. A category with too little real data is shown as unverified, not filled with a plausible number. A visible gap is safe; a made-up figure is indistinguishable from a real one.
It will not sell your enquiries. The free tier is free because the directory feeds the ops service — not because you are the product.
Directory and ops: the free map, and the paid delivery.
The directory is the free, public map. ops is the paid service delivered by using it — the founder, on the ground, staffing and pricing and running the shoot for a client coming from abroad. Free directory to paid ops is the whole funnel, and the directory is what makes the ops service fast.
