Film fixer · Bosnia & Herzegovina

Shoot the Balkans without flying in a crew.

Your film fixer and line-production unit in Bosnia & Herzegovina — on the ground in Sarajevo and across the region: locations, casting, permits, local crew and kit. Western-Europe craft at regional day rates, EU-adjacent logistics, an English-speaking crew that has worked here for 20+ years.

What this service delivers

For an agency or brand abroad, mounting a shoot in this region usually means flying in a unit, hiring blind, and gambling on locations you have only seen in photos. We remove all of it. Brief us from anywhere and you land into a producer who knows the ground, vetted local crew and talent, scouted and cleared locations, permits and customs handled, and Profoto + cinema kit ready to roll — at day rates well below Vienna, Munich or Milan, two to three hours from any of them.

Why shoot here

Four countries' worth of looks, one base.

Why shoot here

01

Every backdrop within a drive

Ottoman old towns, Austro-Hungarian boulevards, Yugoslav brutalism, alpine peaks, pine forest, river gorges and the Adriatic coast — most of it reachable in a day from Sarajevo. One trip, a dozen distinct worlds.

02

The cost ratio

Crew, talent, locations and kit at a fraction of Western-European rates, with the same advertising-grade standard. Budgets stretch to more shoot days, more setups and more deliverables.

03

EU-adjacent logistics

Two to three hours' flight from most European hubs, straightforward gear carnets, and a crew that handles customs, transport and accommodation so your team only has to direct.

04

20+ years on the ground

Not a one-person fixer with a van — a studio behind a 3,000,000+ upload library across 24 agencies, with the talent roster, location book and supplier relationships that come from two decades of producing here.

What we provide

A full unit, briefed once.

What we provide

The unit is staffed and priced from our own .directory.shock — the industry map of who's who and what things cost across the region. The directory is the free, public engine; this service is what it produces on the ground.

01

Fixer & Line Production

A local producer as your single point of contact — schedule, budget, permits, suppliers and on-set logistics, run to your agency's standards from recce to wrap.

02

Location Library & Scouting

A standing book of cleared locations plus bespoke scouting — urban, heritage, industrial, hospitality, mountain and coast — permitted and access-managed for the shoot day.

03

Casting & Local Talent

Models and real-people talent from our own network, cast to brief and booked with commercial releases for all territories — the roster behind 20+ years of licensed work.

04

Permits, Customs & Carnet

Filming permits, ATA carnet and gear customs, drone authorisations, transport and accommodation — the paperwork and logistics handled before your team lands.

05

Crew & Equipment

English-speaking camera, lighting and grip crew with Profoto-on-batteries and cinema kit, plus a licensed drone operator and the hudhud.pro video unit on call.

06

Post & Delivery On Site

Selects, retouching, grade, keywording and delivery handled here through the .shock.LAB pipeline — finished, correctly-licensed material, not a card full of raws.

From a brief abroad to a wrapped shoot here.

01

Brief & recce

Send the treatment, references and shoot dates. We come back with a location package, a budget, crew and kit options and a shot-by-shot feasibility — usually with scout photos and video of the real spaces inside a few days.

02

Pre-production & permits

We lock locations, cast talent, book crew and pull every permit, carnet and customs clearance. Call sheets, transport and accommodation are scheduled so your team flies in to a shoot that is already standing.

03

Shoot & wrap

Your director directs; our unit runs the day. Post — selects, retouch, grade, keywording and delivery — happens on site through the .shock.LAB, so you leave with finished, licensed material rather than a wrap full of raws.

Fixing by country.

The same unit, briefed for one border or for several. Each page covers what that country gives you on camera and what a fixer covers there.

Kosovo

Kosovo is landlocked and compact — mountain, old-town and modern-civic looks sit within short transfers of each other.

Montenegro

Montenegro puts sea level and high mountain within one country, so a coast day and a mountain day can sit back to back.

Serbia

Serbia is the region’s largest crew market outside Croatia, and its capital carries the widest range of urban looks.

Croatia

Croatia is the most-shot country in the region, which means the best-known locations also carry the heaviest permit and crowd load.

Albania

Albania still reads as unfamiliar on camera, which is exactly why it turns up on mood boards looking for a coast that is not the Adriatic cliché.

North Macedonia All seven countries

North Macedonia is landlocked but keeps a large lake, a canyon and high country inside short transfers of the capital.

Why we brief in Sarajevo and shoot anywhere — our approach to location production.

Working with us

Working with us, answered.

Working with us

Yes — we are a film fixer and line-production unit based in Sarajevo, working across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider Balkans: locations, casting, permits, local crew and kit, briefed once and run to spec.

Yes — scouted and cleared locations, filming permits and customs are handled on the ground, so an agency or brand can brief from abroad and land into a producer who knows the region.

The crew is English-speaking with 20+ years on the ground, at regional day rates well below Vienna, Munich or Milan — all two to three hours away — with EU-adjacent logistics.

A complete unit: vetted local crew and talent, casting, locations, permits, and Profoto plus cinema kit ready to roll — for stills, film or both from one production.

Do you work as a film fixer across Bosnia and Herzegovina? Can you handle permits, locations and customs for a foreign crew? Is the crew English-speaking, and what are the rates like? What can you provide — crew, kit, talent?
